DSTV customers will have to cough up more cash to access the subscription Tv service from September 1, 2022. This follows a Tuesday announcement by DSTV's mother company, Multichoice, of a price that will affect five of its subscription packages namely: Premium, Compact, Compact Plus, Family, and Access. The Access package subscribers will have to pay Ksh. 1,100 to watch their favorite channels which is a Ksh. 50 hike from the Ksh. 1,050 they paid in 2021. Customers seeking to sign up for the Family bouquet will pay Ksh. 1,600 compared to Ksh. 1,500 in 2021 while the Compact subscription rate has increased from Ksh. 2,000 to Ksh. 3000. Compact Plus and Premium packages will have to pay Ksh. 5,500 and Ksh. 8,900 respectively for the services compared to last year's price of Ksh. 5,100 and Ksh. 8,400.
